Course Introduction
The following activities are designed for use during the first week of instruction. Use these activities to introduce students to course policies, SLOs, and their class community!
Instructors are welcome to copy content directly into their CMS as is or with their own modifications. If you decide to use an activity from the resource site, please copy the student-facing content into your CMS as opposed to linking to the resource site.
Activities
- This introductory activity facilitates class community-building at the start of the term. By answering a series of friendly getting-to-know-you prompts, students are able to introduce themselves and get to know one another—both in a personal and professional capacity.
- This self-reflective activity tasks students with analyzing the Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) of BTW 250 and considering how they relate to their first Onboarding Process Assignment.
- This introductory activity is a student forum in which students familiarize themselves with your syllabus and course policies, ask questions about them, self-reflect, and create community with their peers.
